How does image optimization work?

If you have just installed the plugin, you can optimize images with one click. Image size will be smaller after generate webp!

What happens to new images added to the Media Library?

New images that will be added to the Media Library will be converted automatically.

Does the plugin modify the original images?

Our image optimizer does not modify your original images in any way. This means security for you and your files.

How does the plugin load images in the browser?

When the browser loads an image, our plugin checks if it supports the WebP format. If so, the image in WebP format is loaded.

What happens if the .htaccess file is blocked?

In case rewriting by rules from .htaccess file is blocked, a mode is available which loads images via PHP file. Then image URLs are changed, but the logic of operation is the same as in the case of the default mode.

I use it incombination with lscache. Great substituite to cloudflare and cdn. Why pay if you can do it on your server, unless you're international website

Very fast, even the free version does the job without any problems. Great plugin for compressing images and making wordpress faster.

WAY better than Imagify

I recently switched to this plugin after using Imagify for several years. Should have switched sooner. This plugin does everything perfectly and gives you far more image conversions for the money than Imagify does. It's also faster and presents much cleaner meta info on the WP media library page. Highly recommended.
