Wordfence saved my site last night!
By bisleyvshop on January 30, 2023
After upgrading to PHP 8.1 I noticed (through Google) a performance increase in my AWS Lightsail Wordpress Woocommerce site which was a good thing. Unfortunately the site started to crash during the night at midnight and 3:00 AM. After installing Wordfence, and examined activity logs, I determined that my site was being scraped or crawled by several entities concurrently. This was pinning my CPU. Lightsail behaves badly when this happens. This was probably happening with PHP 7.3, but with PHP 8.1 more CPU resources are now available. By setting up blocking and throttling in the free version of Wordfence, my site made it through the night for the first time since the upgrade! I stopped looking at my traffic as it seems people all over the world have nothing better to do than hack my site. Never mind the evil 'bots'. Wordfence has made all of this visible to me and I have to admit that I do sleep better now that I am using it. Last night they all (hackers) used 'STOREMANAGER' instead of 'ADMIN' to try and log in. There must be a list for sale all over the world. Probably due to the MailChimp hack. Thanks Wordfence!
License system Sucks, terrible

It´s time to migrate to All In One WP Security & Firewall
Fix the uninstall process
By germars on January 27, 2023
It is okay, but why can you not make it so if it needs to be uninstalled, it takes all of it's crap with it. The assistant doesn't really work to do this, so I've been spending ages trying to find all of the files without crashing the site. The plugin is okay, but I won't install it again because it takes too long to remove everything.

Avoid! Breaks site after uninstall/deletion
By markcambridge on January 27, 2023
I just deactivated your plugin, deleting all tables and data as it allows, then deleted your app from plugins. Then when going to upload a new plugin and work on my site your plugin somehow is still blocking me access after full deletion.
New license system
By torndownunits on January 27, 2023
Review based off of how inconvenient and unintuitive your new license (cash grab) system is. I will be removing the plugin from the dozens of sites I use it on and finding another option.
Worth every penny. Great Support too.
By anchoredmeditation (shorelarkbythesea) on January 26, 2023
I've been running the paid version of WordFence for about 2 years, and the couple of times I've needed to contact Tech Support (not because of any issues, but because I've needed some assistance or information), they've gotten back to me literally within minutes, and either taken care of the thing or explained very concisely how to do it. Worth every penny, especially when you go to your WF dashboard and see the sheer number of bots and attempted attacks on your site that they protect you from.
Broken Licensing System
By stepdg on January 22, 2023
The recent changes to force you to register your site just to get a free license is a hot mess. Several times it has not worked and once it is broken you cannot go back and request another one. Wordfence is an amazing product but the underlying hard push to squeeze as many metrics out of the customer as possible (of which they were already getting a tremendous amount) has only served to cripple their flagship product right out of the gate. Really hope they fix this because I've been a huge fan for years.
Marking non-malicious plugins as malicious
By avidflow on January 18, 2023
I think it is misleading to mark a plugin as malicious simply because the plugin is a nulled version of a GPL plugin.
