Is there a fee to join, or a minimum spend?
No. The Agency Program is free to join, with no membership fee and no minimum spend. You do not need to be an InstaWP customer first.
Are there tiers? What do I have to hit to unlock the good parts?
Nothing. There is 1 tier and it starts at the top. The account manager, the Slack channel, the directory listing, white-label reselling, bulk pricing and the free fleet migration are all live from the day you are approved. We would rather help you grow than make you grow first.
What exactly do I earn?
3 things: 50% cashback on client sites you migrate in during your first 6 months, 10% commission on customers you refer, and 10% off bulk hosting. On top of that you get hosting credits, partner perks and partner plugin trials.
Do I keep the client and the billing relationship?
Yes. You can resell InstaWP under your own brand and your own prices through a white-label client portal, a $5/mo add-on. Referral commission is for sending a customer to us directly. Reselling keeps the client entirely yours. See white-label and WaaS →
I do not have 10 sites yet. Can I still apply?
Yes. Around 10 live sites is a guideline, not a wall. In your first 3 months we migrate your existing client sites in for free, with dedicated bulk-migration support, to help you get there.
How does billing work across a fleet?
Per site, billed daily: roughly $2/mo for a sandbox and $5 to $45/mo for production tiers. Pausing a site does not stop billing, so the way to cut cost is to downgrade it to a $2 sandbox or delete it. Full detail is on the pricing page.
How fast is approval, and what happens next?
Most applications are reviewed in hours rather than days. Once approved you get Partner Portal access to set up your account, claim your referral link and track opportunities and cashback. You also get a dedicated account manager and an invite to our internal Slack.
Is this just an affiliate program?
No. Referral commission is one piece of it. You also get migration cashback, bulk pricing, white-label reselling, a real account manager, a Slack channel into engineering, hands-on bulk migration and a premium Agency Directory listing that sends you leads.
What if I want to leave later?
They are standard WordPress sites and there is no annual lock-in. Billing is daily, so you stop when you stop, and you can migrate any site out the same way we moved it in.
