Hummingbird – Optimize Speed, Enable Cache, Minify CSS & Defer Critical JS

Great plugin for speeding up your website

I have tried this plugin so many times and this won't disappoint me.

It's okay so far.

Hummingbird was easy to install and use. I have the paid version on some other sites that I have designed and maintain, and I've been really happy with it.

The caching is quite good. When it comes to speed W3, Rocket and Hummingbird have almost the same Performance on my server. The setup and navigation takes some time and could be clearer. In addition, it takes a very long time until the assets are generated. But they have quality and you can also set manual rules yourself, which is a plus! A big minus point is that Hummingbird does not remove the entries in the Htaccess file when you deactivate the plugin. This is really bad and should be fixed. If you don't know enough, you don't notice this and then have multiple entries from caching plugins when you switch. A big plus is that also queries are cached, so also the filters on the store page! I do not know, however, up to what extent with many taxonomies.

Great product! I highly recommend it.

works incredible, only reason for the 4-star is because in many cases when you also enable java optimization, it chucks out the styling for certain elements like counters and the footer (using with Divi Builder). If you recheck asset optimization then sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's not - guess it depends on which updates were done. Not a dealbreaker. When this gets sorted some day it's an absolute 5-star!
