I purchased the Premium version of RegistrationMagic a few months ago after trying many alternatives. I wanted a sophisticated plugin which would cover my login and registration requirements, as well as allowing the creation and management of any other form I might need. Although there are numerous plugins which allow the creation of user registrations and logins, not many provide the proper management of the process. RegistrationMagic offers full control to gather any information required, send notifications, request feedback confirmations (if required), reset passwords, etc. etc. It’s very flexible and covers every Use Case that I have. However, after I bought the plugin, I was disappointed to find not all the features worked for me. I did some testing and came to the conclusion the issues were connected to my Gutenberg block editor using Spectra, as everything worked fine using a classic editor with an Astra theme. Anyway, I raised a ticket with little expectation of any resolution of the issues, but to my surprise Metagauss got back to me straight away. They agreed that they needed to sort out my problems urgently, and started working on the issues. After many email exchanges I can now say that I have a beautiful login and registration setup on my site. This is one of the best experiences of support I’ve ever had.
Regarding the price, I’d expect such a Premium product to be very expensive, but it’s not! My original purchase is for 1 site and costs $89.00 for the full feature set. I now plan to upgrade to the Premium+ version which costs $189.00 for an unlimited number of sites which is fantastic value. Many of their competitors charge much more for fewer features. The most popular provide hundreds of template forms which they claim mean you don’t have to do anything apart from just plug them in. But none of the templates will be exactly what you want and they will have to be tweaked anyway, so it would be just as easy to create exactly what is needed from scratch using RegistrationMagic. Anyway, who needs hundreds of forms? You’re paying for a load of stuff you’ll never need.
One thing to note is that RegistrationMagic is very sophisticated as it allows almost total flexibility. The downside to this is that setting everything up is a little complex. The learning curve will be longer than with a simpler plugin. There is not much that the developers could do about this as the interface is well designed. The UI is straightforward and the settings are logical…but it might take a few hours to get familiarized with them all. The good news is that there are loads of great informative videos on the internet along with a ton of information. Anyway, if you get stuck, I’m sure the support team from Metagauss will be glad to help as they did for me.
