Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin – BasePress Docs

I needed to publish a knowledge base for an online race entry platform. Basepress is easy to install and configure and has helped me to quickly create a fully searchable knowledge base to help my customers. Great effort.

This is a great plugin for a knowledgebase. I ended up buying the pro version because it is the only knowledgebase plugin that I could find that allowed me to alter the order of the article display in a custom way. Other plugins that I tested needed to use some criteria for sorting like title or date updated. But in the pro version there is a drag and drop for ordering. Really nice.

This plugin generates attractive, professional knowledgebases.

The support documentation is first rate.

In addition to this, the developers provide concise one-to-one advice via the forum.

All organizations struggle to update and make internal information available to their users. How often have encyclopedias, manuals and guidelines been produced on paper or as long pdf documents, where the end user has not used the information? With the help of BasePress, information can be updated and made available in an efficient and intuitive way and the search function is efficient and fast. The plugin doesn't find the content because it doesn't have a base page to work with. It has no categories and tags.

My main frustration was the homepage not working even after I created the knowledge base and section.

The section added to the knowledge base does not appear on the page where you add the article.

After everything is done, I create the article, but there is still a message with a horrible red banner, saying that page does not have a knowledge base yet.

Thanks for making this happen, been looking for a powerful docusaurus like docs with wordpress benefits. This is gold.

Great plugin from an awesome team. Even had the team help out with some basic styling as the theme was breaking things. Highly recommended!

I chose this plugin mainly because it allowed multiple products to have their own knowledge base, something that sets this plugin apart from other plugins.

It was easy to get going with nice out of the box designs that fitted well.

I quickly upgraded to Pro, not that I actually needed the pro features ( nice that they are, the free version does a lot ) but because I want to support the plugin developer as I wanted this plugin to exist for the the long term.

Being a plugin developer myself, I haven't need that much support, but when I have asked I have had quality support.

Also the code is nicely written, with templates and hooks that make customisation straight forward.
