Background Gradient

InstaWP v3.6.0 builds on the recent momentum of platform changes, adding long-awaited features like site plan switching, improved pricing transparency, and smarter handling of site types. Whether you’re managing multiple demos or spinning up environments at scale, this release helps you do it faster and with more clarity.

Let’s break down what’s new, what’s improved, and what’s been fixed in this version.

⚙️ What’s New?

#1 – Change Site Plan Anytime

You can now change the plan of any active site at any time. You can upgrade to get more storage, CPU, and advanced features, or downgrade to reduce costs when you need fewer features for your project. This flexibility gives you full control over your plan. Each site operates independently, so updating the plan affects only that specific site.

To change a plan, you’ll get the change plan option on your dashboard. Choose one that fits your needs and confirm the change.

If you’re downgrading, make sure your current setup doesn’t rely on features that aren’t available in the lower plan. Once done, your site is instantly updated with the new limits, pricing, and features.

#2 – Snapshot & Template Search by Site Name

A Snapshot is a saved site state for quick reuse, while a Template is a reusable, monetizable WordPress setup. In our latest release, we’ve added a feature where you can search for a Snapshot or Template using the name of its parent site. This saves time, especially when managing many derived assets.

This update is especially useful when managing large libraries of Snapshots and Templates, helping you trace back and organize assets efficiently.

#3 – Retry Mechanism for Sync Failures

In this update, we’ve added a retry mechanism for Managed Sites with Two-Way Sync enabled. If the sync fails, you can now simply retry the process without repeating multiple steps.
This reduces the need for manual work, saves time, and ensures smoother, more reliable synchronization. This feature was previously unavailable; this feature now makes sync recovery much faster and user-friendly.

Improvements

#1 – Enhanced Site Plan Selector

The Site Plan selection screen has been polished for better clarity on every page and feature. Such as: import site page, snapshot page, templates page, etc. It makes the process easier to compare and choose the right environment before launching or cloning a site.

#2 – Cloned Sites automatically go under the parent site’s PPU plan

When cloning a site under any site, the cloned site now inherits the plan of the parent site by default. This saves time and ensures consistent performance across environments.

#3 – Paid vs Free Site Behavior

  • All new paid sites are now treated as Permanent Sites automatically — no manual configuration needed.
  • Free sites are now marked as Temporary by default, with the standard 48-hour lifetime.

This clarification helps users understand site behavior upfront and improves lifecycle consistency.

🛠 Fixes & Stability Enhancements

  • Create Site > From AI tab is now functioning as before. This option was not working properly when we shifted to v3. It is fixed now.
Fixes & Stability Enhancements
  • Fixed the issue where the Import Site modal was showing blank. Also, pagination has been restored
  • Resolved UI issues with the credit card input design.
