Remove Footer Credit

With WP 6.1.1 and Mesmerize, this no longer works.

Does not works with WP 6.1.1 and Theme Twenty Sixteen Version: 2.8.

It didn't work out as easily as I had expected. Some theme providers do everything to prevent you from deleting their credits. With some quick and competent support, and some careful copy/paste experiments, it finally worked. Just deleting the footer text would have been much easier by adding a little piece of code in the customizer/footer section. But since I also wanted to add something new to the footer, this worked perfectly for me.

I was trying to look through the php of my theme but it got extremely frustrating. This plugin helps a ton!

Easy to use and works as intended!

It seems to work, but not as intuitive as it should be. You need to copy the code that makes up the footer porting you wish to move and paste that into the box. Wish there as a way to simply way to remove it.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the latest Lightning theme update. I am hoping for a plugin update that fixes the issue. Good job :) REVIEW UPDATE: After the update everything works fine. Tanks for the assistance. 5 stars all deserved :)

This is a cool plugin, and a lot more simple than many other ways to change the footer copyright, which I was so glad of. I think I messed up some page code while working with it though, and it temporarily messed up my page layout. It's better now, though I still don't know how it fixed. :P But, I ended up using a different plugin to change my footer copyright, that was even simpler and more straightforward than this. This was the next best though!
