Working great

I am using EDD with Mollie Payment Gateway plugin

DON'T USE IF YOU USE STRIPE

By fckwp4343 on January 29, 2025

If you value your customers privacy, and your business I would not recommend using this plugin. The way the implement stripe into the plugin is by giving themselves access to every single transaction you do. They will know more about your business and customers then you will.

When trying to enable stripe on this plugin you effectively use their API to connect to stripe. They say this makes it easier for them to implement features, but then why doesn't any other program do this? The only reason they do this is so eventually they'll tell you they need a percentage of your transactions like 99% of Stripe Plugin Developers. They just want to be a middle man and eventually they will tell you, you need to pay them for this as well.

Not only this how can I trust that EDD a wordpress plugin maker is PCI Complaint with my customers personal Data. I can't, you can't, and they can't prove that they are safe with it. I highly advise if you want to use stripe to not use this plugin, or I have a very good feeling that you will fully regret it in the future.

They will try to give some lame excuse as to why they do this, but it's just an excuse and a lame one at that and doesn't make sense, when it just doesn't need to be done. It's like having an overseer of your money that you didn't ask for.

Software Licensing Done Easily

By jimhankins on January 21, 2025

I needed a software licensing solution quickly and Easy Digital Downloads delivered. I'm using both for traditional wordpress plugins and my own desktop application software, cross platform. The API is simple and I was also able to hook into the license generation event to perform off box required steps like creating users easily.

Kind to beginners

By WP apprentice on January 20, 2025

I use EDD since over a year now, because I sell digital downloads sometimes. The plugin works well - there is a little learning curve - and is generous in its options for the free version. Compliments to the makers!

Great Support Above and Beyond

By kerwood1 on January 13, 2025

I recently purchased EDD to make offering digital products easier and I needed the ability to create licenses for upcoming software releases.

I ran into some unexpected challenges installing the plugin that I was unable to figure out. It turned out that I had some unidentified critical issues impacting my site that was unrelated to EDD.

The team at EDD went above and beyond fixing the issue resolving the problem and got the EDD plugin up and running on my site.

Big shout out to the team and people at EDD for helping me far beyond with an issue that wasn't technically their problem.

EDD adds noindex to pages

By ngmarel on January 4, 2025

If you encounter this issue (you have installed EDD and on every page you have, the tag <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" /> appears), simply go to /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=download&page=edd-settings&tab=general&section=pages and configure the pages.

Best eCommerce Plugin!

By stheobald on November 28, 2024

I decided in favour of EDD because I was annoyed by the complexity of Woocommerce. At first I thought that EDD, with its focus on downloads only, might not be the right choice. But I was convinced otherwise. With some in-house development and the outstanding support, which helps quickly and competently, I was able to implement everything I needed for my membership site: Downloads, subscriptions, vouchers incl. voucher PDF and protected areas for subscribers. Really, really good!
