Major Product Updates (2.42.0)

#1 – Set custom CPU and Disk count per hosted site

Imagine having the power to customize your hosting resources just the way you want!

With the new custom CPU and disk count feature, InstaWP allows you to allocate resources tailored to each site’s specific needs.

Go to the Addon section for your InstaWP Live hosted site’s subscription to find this option. We would love to hear your feedback.

Whether you’re running a resource-heavy e-commerce site that needs four CPUs or a simple blog that runs just fine with two, you can now adjust your resources without the headache of upgrading your entire plan. This flexibility means you can save money while ensuring that each site performs at its best, ultimately leading to a smoother experience for your visitors.

#2 – Method to auto-login to specific pages in WaaS sites

We all know how tedious logging in repeatedly can be, especially when managing multiple WaaS sites. That’s why the new auto-login feature is a game-changer!

(Ok, you’re right; the option was in templates, but now it supports WaaS.)

The above implies — You can now skip those multiple login steps and head straight to the pages you need to manage. This improvement not only saves you time but also makes your daily tasks feel a little less daunting.

#3 – Multisite support added for migration (to and from InstaWP Staging)

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed managing a network of WordPress sites, you’re not alone. And that’s why InstaWP’s enhanced multisite support for migration, added in v2.42.0, is such a breath of fresh air!

You can now seamlessly transfer your multisite WordPress installations to and from InstaWP staging environments, which takes the stress out of managing updates and changes.

Try migrating your multisite staging to InstaWP, and it’ll be a breeze!

#4 – Country name field (Billing > Tax Type)

This tiny update is all about making your life easier and keeping your clients happy!

Managing taxes can be a headache, especially when dealing with international clients. Thankfully, InstaWP has made it a little easier with the addition of a “Country Name” field under Billing > Tax Type

This feature ensures that tax calculations are more accurate based on where your clients are located. By simplifying the invoicing process, it gives you one less thing to worry about, allowing you to focus on building relationships with your clients rather than wrestling with tax complexities.

This update provides administrators with more control over the InstaWP Connect plugin

It allows admins to hide the plugin menu from specific users, offering a more customized and secure experience.

InstaWP has added a more convenient way to manage domain mapping. Just a click on the Set Primary icon will do the trick!

When you map a new domain to your hosted site or staging environment, you now have the option to set one of those domains as the primary domain in the user interface. This streamlines the process, making domain management more intuitive.

#7 – Improved logging and error handling for migration and staging

Logging and error handling have been enhanced to make the migration and staging processes smoother. With this, users have better visibility into any issues that arise during migration and can troubleshoot them more effectively.

#8 – Removal of Live Credits from the Addons pages to avoid confusion

InstaWP has removed the Live Credits section from the Addons page. This change was made to reduce confusion around Live Credits and make it easier for users to navigate and understand the Addons page without unnecessary clutter.

#9 – Multisite menu for InstaWP Connect plugin

The Multisite Menu for the InstaWP Connect plugin offers an easy way for site admins to manage all aspects of multisite networks directly from the WordPress admin interface. Check your admin dashboard’s topbar and save yourself from the hassles of having to go through the WordPress Network Admin section ?
