What Does “Inactive” Mean?
InstaWP periodically reviews accounts for inactivity. If there’s no login or activity on your account for six months, we’ll notify you via email. This is to ensure our resources are optimized and to keep your data secure.
Note: Activity on other services linked to InstaWP, such as InstaWP Live, does not count toward keeping your standard account active.
How to Keep Your InstaWP Account Active?
If you’ve been notified about inactivity, follow these steps to maintain your account:
- Log into your account: Access your account via the InstaWP Dashboard.
- Engage with your projects: Create, edit, or manage staging sites, or other utilize other InstaWP features like Templates, Connects, WaaS, or hosting.
Will there be any charges for keeping my InstaWP account active?
No, maintaining your InstaWP account remains completely free of charge. Once you sign in, your account will be marked as active, ensuring no deletion action is taken.
What if I’ve Forgotten My Password?
It’s understandable that keeping your InstaWP account active requires more than just a click if you’ve forgotten your password or haven’t linked it to your Gmail or social accounts.
However, logging in is essential. Without your login, you won’t be able to mark your account as active and keep your data safe. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can easily reset it on the login page.
What if I No Longer Have Access to My Email Address?
If you can’t access the email associated with your InstaWP account, try to regain access through your email service provider or by resetting your email password.

What if I want to use InstaWP again in the future?
We do not keep any data related to deleted accounts, so your account will be counted as a fresh one. In other words, you can always create a new account if your previous account is deleted, but all saved data will be lost.

Given that your account has been inactive for 6 months and you received an account deletion email, your data will be queued for deletion after one week. To prevent this, simply sign in within the given timeframe.

Unfortunately, deleted accounts and associated data are not recoverable, so we recommend signing in to prevent this.
