Frequently asked questions
What is Structured Content (JSON-LD)?
Structured Content (JSON-LD) is a WordPress plugin that adds flexible content boxes with JSON-LD microdata output according to schema.org. It helps search engines better understand your content for improved SEO. The plugin allows you to insert structured data elements multiple times in any post or page.
What types of structured data elements does the plugin offer?
The plugin currently offers seven structured data elements: FAQPage, JobPosting, LocalBusiness, Recipe, Person, Event, and Course. These elements can be inserted using simple dialogs.
How does Structured Content (JSON-LD) help with SEO?
By rendering information as JSON-LD according to schema.org, the plugin helps search engine bots recognize and understand your content. This can lead to higher rank results, featured snippets in SERPs, and extended snippets. You can choose whether to display only the JSON-LD in the source code or also preformat and display the content.
Is the plugin compatible with different WordPress editors?
The plugin is optimized for the Gutenberg editor, and future structural elements will be published as Gutenberg blocks. Most of the structured content elements also work with the TinyMCE editor.
