Shortcoder — Create Shortcodes for Anything

The plugin is great, unfortunately ot does not interact well with WPML

Thank you for this plugin. It is lightweight, intuitive, and effective. I have used several similar plugins in the past in an attempt to give my clients more content control. However, those plugins either have been abandoned or do not work in some contexts (e.g., in archive pages of custom post types). Shortcoder will be my new go-to.

I've searched high and low for a shortcode plugin to meet my needs. For some reason this plugin never showed up in the first few pages of my plugin search from the Wordpress add plugin page. Instead my searches were inundated with plugins that provided a selection of preset shortcodes for various functions. I was to the point of mapping out writing my own plugin with the features I'd like, sighing at the prospect of yet another project I don't have time for, when I stumbled upon Shortcoder. All I can say is it's exactly what I needed! Adding and managing custom shortcodes was never easier. I even had several instances of "Wouldn't it be cool if this plugin did... oh wait ... IT DOES!" I rarely find software that motivates me to write a 5-star review, well, Shortcoder is one. Kudos to the software engineer(s) and excellent work!

By the way, contrary to other reviews, it absolutely works perfectly in Woocommerce product pages.

Just brilliant for classical HTML items but also extremely useful for adding in custom fields for product descriptions. Well constructed, works like a dream.

This allows me to achieve so much. It's very flexible and if you know how to wield its power, it can do wonders, allowing you to harness the power of various plugins through this little friend. i don't know why there's no pro version for it. this one is like the knee in a body that my site couldn't live without.
