No reponse to an issue after 2 months
Looks like I am going back to Google Analytics

This plugin saved my site CWV, I disabled Tag Manager & GA4 and switched to WP Statistics.

Very intuitive interface. Please keep it up!

Before the recent update, for example, a post which got nearly 900 views, is listed as having now only 180. That is not what an update is supposed to do. With every update the views go down, but the traffic on the server is actually increasing, as I can see it from the logs. WPStatistics, therefore, is no longer giving you the real data, but is manipulating that. Dont rely on it. In fact, uninstall it.

Install and setup very easy

Have been using this for a while now, maybe two years, and it has been great. I even have all of the add-ons and use most of them. Problem lately is the plugin is killing an extremely overpowered server. Not sure why. Finally had to nix the plugin, and viola! Server CPU and RAM went from 100% usage with 50 or 60 people on the site to 10%. I've reached out to the dev (v14.4.3 was my doing, nagging works) but only just. Doubt they can do anything and clearly large sites (250,000+ hits a month) aren't using this from the reviews. Site was bigger, then this issue started tanking traffic (before Google HCU in 2023) even after doubling my server size (extra $$$ I won't get back). Will update if I'm wrong about that. Just thought I'd share my experience with the plugin. For tech deets: Cloudways hosting on a 16GB Vultr server, PHP 8.2, MariaDB 10.5, varnish, Cloudflare Ent, Wordfence Pro, GeneratePress theme, WP Super Cache, and storing only last 30 days of stats (minimum allowed). Established site with little to no change year to year. This site should be sailing, and it does when this plugin is deactivated. Sadly. Loved it. Very useful and accurate enough to count on it (verified against GA4 and the money guys). Only support request got a quick answer and resolution. 5-star plugin for smaller sites, no question.

Is it possible to know which items have been viewed even without purchasing? Even simply clicking on them. It wouldn't be bad to have this information even without knowing who saw the various articles. I use WooCommerce for convenience.

Although I am using a non pro version and have no support contract, when I found an error, I got resolution within 24hrs. So thank you. Good job

WP statistics seems like a well put-together tool in most ways; however I have questions about the reliability of hits to my blog. I am using the free version. There is a huge discrepancy between hits counted by Jetpack and hits counted by WP statistics, and Iwant to understand this discrepancy.

My blog traditionally doesn't have heavy traffic (usually less than 10 hits/day, according to Jetpack). Yet, WP Statistics says that my traffic is up in the thousands of hits per day. Which one is right?

I am sensing that a lot of these hits are spoofing IP addresses for whatever reason. How good is your tool at excluding bots and crawlers and the like? The reason I suspect this, is that, nearly every day, a lot of those hits are to the same page at nearly the same time by visitors from several different IP addresses, often based in different countries. This sounds improbable, yet it happens several times each day for me.

Other days, It would say that I have this incredibly high traffic (5000+ hits/day), yet not a single hit to my home page.

Am I right in suspecting most of these visits are not from real humans?

I am running my blog as a hobby, and at this point I am not doing this for money, and currently am not publicizing myself anywhere. But since I know you need to refer to something, it is at stridersjournal.net
