How to Connect your RunCloud panel to the InstaWP Dashboard?
For this, you have the option to Connect Hosting on the Hosting page.
Select RunCloud as your Connect Provider. It is enlisted in the Hosting Partnership list on the popup screen.
Enter the Alias, API Key, and Secret Key to proceed.
Not sure where to find the API key and secret? Go to Settings > API & Security > API Key to enable the API Key and find the needed details.
Click Connect in your InstaWP dashboard once these details are filled in, and that’s it!
You are all set to utilize the features enabled by the InstaWP-RunCloud partnership.
What to Expect from the RunCloud-InstaWP Partnership?
Note: We are assuming that you followed the steps mentioned in the previous section, and your RunCloud is now connected to the InstaWP account.
This integration aims to accelerate WordPress development and project delivery for you. Make sure to connect a server to RunCloud before you proceed.
Here’s what this partnership unlocks for you:
- Host your InstaWP test sites on RunCloud servers.
If you want to test your sites in the RunCloud environment, as it will host them later on, that’s now possible.
You just need to go to the Hosting page, which should have your connected RunCloud account enlisted. Click + New Site to begin this process.
Set a name for your website, add a domain name, select a user, and choose a PHP version before you hit Create.
Once the process is complete, go back to your RunCloud dashboard. You will find this new site enlisted in your account – with all the settings you chose a few seconds before.
So now, you can use InstaWP to modify and test your website, while RunCloud helps you manage, monitor, secure, and host on your preferred server. Great, isn’t it?
- Migrate your sites from InstaWP to RunCloud smoothly.
Want to Migrate your website from the InstaWP dashboard to a server added to your RunCloud panel? That’s easy.
Follow the steps enlisted below:
- Go to the Sites page in your InstaWP dashboard and scroll down to your preferred site (that needs to be migrated).
- Click on the 3 vertical dots to load More Actions.
- Select Migrate V2.
- Navigate to the Create new live site tab. Select your RunCloud Connection from the Select your Hosting Provider dropdown here.
- Select your preferred server and specify the site details to proceed.
- Click Create and Migrate to review the migration details and Begin Migration if you think everything is correct. It’ll initiate the migration process. Remember, this process may take time if your site is heavy. So, patiently wait for a while.
- Once the process completes, you will see a success message on your screen.
Now, you can go to your RunCloud dashboard and find the migrated site in your dashboard.
- Launch WaaS using InstaWP and RunCloud.
With the completion of the InstaWP-RunCloud integration, you can now easily host your WaaS sites on your preferred server.
For this, you must first create a shared template. This shared template will be later used as WaaS (Website as a Service). So, make sure to enable monetization for it once you are done with site creation, its branding, its basic settings, and its advanced options.
Next, modify your Hosting Settings and add RunCloud as your hosting provider. Go to Hosting > Connect Hosting and select RunCloud as your hosting partner. Provide all the required information to add it to your InstaWP dashboard.
Now, you can navigate to the WaaS page and add a WaaS.
When you will do that, you will be able to create a WaaS from the available shared templates. Name your WaaS, modify hosting settings, create plans, do the branding, and it’s done.
Once the process completes, you can share the WaaS link with your client and sell it as you prefer. The whole procedure is white-labeled by InstaWP and brandable for your organization or as per your needs.
