What is the InstaWP affiliate program?
It's a recurring affiliate program for WordPress hosting. You share a referral link, and when someone you referred becomes a paying InstaWP customer, you earn 5% of every payment they make for the life of their account.
Why promote InstaWP over other hosting affiliate programs?
Many hosting affiliate programs pay a one-time bounty per signup. InstaWP pays 5% of every payment with no end date, so a customer who keeps adding sites keeps growing your commission. You also get a 60-day cookie and tracking built into InstaWP itself.
I already use InstaWP. Do I need to sign up again?
No. Log in with your existing account and the application opens. Your affiliate dashboard, payouts and sites all live in the same account.
Do I need a paid plan to join?
No. You need a free InstaWP account with a verified email address. You never have to buy anything to earn.
Is there an approval process?
Yes. Our team reviews every application and emails you the decision. If you're approved, your referral link is ready in your dashboard straight away.
How do I get paid?
Through Stripe, to the bank account you connect under Sell › Payouts. Commission is held for 45 days after each payment, then paid out once your balance reaches $50. Below that, it rolls over to the next payout. Set it up as soon as you're approved, because commissions can't be paid out without it. Follow the payout setup guide.
Can I be paid in InstaWP credits instead?
No. Affiliate commissions are paid in cash through Stripe only.
When is a referral credited to me?
When someone opens your link, a 60-day cookie is set. If they create an InstaWP account and add a card within that window, they become your lead. If they clicked more than one affiliate's link, the last click wins, and each customer belongs to one affiliate only.
What counts as a conversion?
The referred customer's first real payment: a paid invoice above $0 or a credit purchase. Spending free or promotional credits doesn't count.
How long does the commission last?
For the life of the account you referred. As long as they keep paying InstaWP, you keep earning 5%, with no cap on the number of payments.
Can I change my referral link?
Yes. Edit your code from the Links & Promo codes tab. It needs 3 to 32 characters and can't match a code another affiliate already uses.
What can I see about my referrals?
Your dashboard shows visitors, leads and conversions. Leads show the email address they signed up with, and you get an email for every new lead and every new customer.
